Caring Your Morkie Puppy:

Caring your puppy at proper extent will actually help you prevent more money to be spent. You should always make sure that your puppy receives plenty of rest. You are advisable not to let your puppy over exert himself for the first two weeks. You need to minimize their activity level so that their blood sugar levels do not drop. There is a tendency among people to hold puppy, but puppies actually get stressed by excessive holding. You should limit holding your puppy to 30 minutes per hour.

Feeding Your Puppy:

You must keep the fact in mind that change of surroundings may change your Morkie's eating habits. After you get your puppy at home, you should keep the puppy dish at the same spot and leave it down for 3-5days. Basically the puppies need to be fed by using two basic forms: free feeding and scheduled feeding. In free feeding mode, the puppy owner leaves dry food in a place so that the puppy can eat whenever it wants. This is important for the puppies so that they can keep up their blood sugar level. You can also apply schedule feeding for your puppy. Schedule feeding involves placing a food bowl out for your Morkie and then to take it away after a certain period of time. Generally most of the puppy breeders recommend scheduled feedings.

Preventing Hypoglycemia:

You should make sure that you take proper care against hypoglycemia of your Morkie breeds. In order to protect Hypoglycemia you need to feed your puppy 3 times a day. There are some special foods that you should give your puppy in case of Hypoglycemia. It is really necessary for your puppy eat/nibble food often to keep up the blood sugar level.

Morkies with Children:

Your puppy should be playful with your children. You can use a Baby Playpen which is an excellent way to introduce small kids to a new puppy. You need to place the Playpen in an area which is visible by you. You can leave a television or radio playing softly and let your puppy stay with the Playpen. This will help your puppy not to feel lonely. You also need to place the Play Pen far away from an outside door so that the Morkies won't get cold drafts. Your puppy will feel protected in this Play Pen and you will be also able to take it with you folding it up to your relative's home or workplace if you wish.

Potty Training Your Morkie:

You need to understand the body language of your Morkie to know when it wants to go outside. Generally the Morkies will get restless, pace or walk in circles, and start sniffing for a place to potty. You need to take your puppy outside immediately when you notice these behaviors.
